About Team 242:

First and foremost thank you for visiting our website and taking a moment to get to know us. We hope the information you find about Olympia area Real Estate among the pages of this website to be useful and easily accessed.

Many people ask where we came up with the name Team 242 for our business...the number 242 is our late sons motorcross racing number. It was the perfect way for us to honor his memory and give us the incentive we need each and every day …as Joe & I have grown our Real Estate business we have found it necessary to expand. We were very lucky to find just the right person for the job. Joni Kleinhans our cousin joined Team 242 in May of 2008. She has been a great asset to our business utilizing her customer service and Real Estate experience to get our office organized, manage our larger projects and help bring new life to our advertising, leaving Joe & I to focus more on our clients. We work together diligently to provide each and every client with the best possible Real Estate service so they will in turn refer their friends, family & coworkers.

ABOUT TRISH & JOE:

As a young girl Trish was known for her "free spirited" nature, always up for a new adventure she was constantly on the go. At fifteen she packed her bag and left home determined to hitchhike across the country, visiting all but two of the fifty states along the way.

At twenty one she became a mother, by twenty two she found herself a single mother. Up to the challenge Trish set out to be the best mom she knew how to be.  She raised her son with a unique closeness that was admired by many. Malachi & Trish shared a love for motorcross (#242), camping, fishing, skateboarding and trying anything new and exciting!

Joe was born and raised right here in Thurston county. He attended Timberline High School where upon graduation he joined the US Navy with hopes of travel & adventure…As luck may have it his 3 year enlistment was spent working as a Hospital Corpsman at the Naval Hospital no further away than Bremerton! He was honorably discharged in 1985.

Joe found himself a single father of two young boys Aaron & Brandon. Having been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, Aaron was in need of ongoing medical care. Knowing that he would need to provide insurance and stability for his boys, Joe pursued & obtained a job with the State Government continuing to promote for the following 20 years. During this time Joe welcomed a third son into his life… Joey.

On the lighter side of Joe, he has had a passion for music from an early age and can still be heard playing his bass at local clubs to date. Joe also enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with their dogs, a Great Dane, Bloodhound and Jack Russell Terrier.

Trish & Joe met in 1999 through a mutual friend it was an immediate love connect (for Trish anyways). It was only a matter of time before the two families came together to settle down in Tenino. All the boys prospered in the small town atmosphere, excelling in their academics and sports...just what the family needed.

In 2005 Trish's soul started stirring, ready for a new adventure she set her sights on pursuing her dream career in Real Estate here in the Olympia area. With her 5 man cheering squad behind her she reached her goal and was licensed in February of 2006 at Olympia Real Estate. However, tragedy soon struck the happy family as, Malachi passed away on April 6th in a boating accident on Lake Havasu while vacationing for spring break. The family and the town of Tenino grieved the loss of a such a loving and beautiful soul.

Trish was back to work at Olympia Real Estate within a couple of months and was amazed to find that by the end of the year she had been recognized as a "Top Producer" for 2006!! The following summer Joe joined Trish creating an endlessly fun and unstoppable Real Estate Team.

Trish & Joe’s “the glass is half full" mindset has been an added inspiration for their sons. Aaron, after battling Cystic Fibrosis his entire life received a lifesaving double lung transplant on March 8th 2007. This new lease on life has energized Aaron who has now created Breathe 4 Tomorrow, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Cystic Fibrosis kids and their families both pre & post op. Brandon graduated from Berkley University of California with a degree in psychology and is now teaching along with his wife in the Bay area. Joey, is still attending high school in Mercer Island. He is a self taught musician, who also enjoys Lacrosse, skateboarding and volunteering for Medical Teams International.

In summer of 2008 we sad to hear that Olympia Real Estate was shutting it's doors for good. Immediately we got to work trying to find a new Real Estate broker to work for and found a new home at VanDorm Realty. We appreciate the oppurtunity to work for Bob VanDorm and Jeff & Diane Pust and add to the legagy Bob has created in Real Estate her in the Olympuia & Thurston County area!
